Managing Settings

For each setting type:

  1. Navigate to Settings > [Setting Name].
  2. View the list of current values.
  3. Click Create to add a new value.
  4. Fill in:
    • Name -- The display name (shown in dropdowns throughout the app).
    • Description -- Optional explanation of when to use this value.
  5. Click Save.

To modify existing values, click on the item and edit its name or description.

Deactivating a setting value hides it from dropdowns but does not affect existing records that use it. Historical data remains intact.

Default Values

Aqarjia comes with a set of default values for all lookup tables. These cover the most common use cases for property management in Kuwait and the GCC region. You can add, modify, or deactivate these defaults to match your specific needs.

Tips

  • Keep setting names concise and consistent.
  • Use descriptions to clarify when a value should be selected.
  • Review settings when onboarding new team members to ensure the available options match current business practices.
